Keith Bankert
I have been tutoring professionally for 25 years, after a career in engineering. I tutor every math and science subject. I am deeply committed to education and science. When not tutoring, I spend my time engaging our local science community and local residents to effectively address local issues on the topics of public health, science education, and sustainability.
David Stern
I have served in the field of education as a middle school general science teacher, as well as a high school teacher of anatomy, biology, environmental science, and genetics. I have tutored for over eight years, specializing in the ACT, Algebra, Biology, Geometry, Chemistry, Precalculus, and Physics. I take individual needs into account while providing high expectations in a nurturing environment. In addition to my love of teaching, I have a passion for spending time with family, golfing, and watching sports.

Dr. Alex Blom
Professor Alex Blom brings a wealth of experience in education to his tutoring practice. He has been a faculty member in higher education since 2009 and a tutor at Knowledge Studio 1 since 2019. Dr. Blom holds a PhD in Chemistry and specializes in tutoring this subject at all levels from high school through college. Alex also tutors high school math courses: Algebra I&II, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, as well as college level courses: College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Calculus. He is also an experienced Physics tutor.

Experience tutoring remotely
Dr. Blom’s wife is currently deployed with the U.S. Army and he is focusing on remote tutoring currently. He has refined his methods since COVID and uses a combination of devices to create a positive, focused learning environment for the student. Sessions are held on Zoom where the student can easily share their device screen. Use of a touchscreen laptop allows Alex to annotate directly on work shared by the student. Additionally, his iPad can be shared to the meeting and he can demonstrate how to work out problems while the student can see everything he’s writing. The student can then annotate (via Zoom) to share their work. These methods create a working environment the students can utilize from their home, school, or wherever they are located and give flexibility to scheduling not otherwise afforded with traditional methods.

Shalana Atwell
I have many years of teaching experience through tutoring during undergrad, as well as mentoring, assistant teaching, and independently instructing a summer course in graduate school. I have experience in teaching anatomy, biology, neuroscience, and chemistry. In addition to my tutoring and teaching work, I am pursuing my PhD in Neuroscience. I am studying the brain regions that are important for controlling drug taking behavior, specifically opioids.
I have always had a passion for helping others learn! I strive to tailor my approach to each student, meeting them where they are at and finding alternative ways of explaining or demonstrating difficult concepts or problems.

Bree Bargiel
I have been tutoring grade school to college level students for the past 7 years. I have worked with organizations such as Urban Impact, as well as personal tutoring. I mainly tutor math on various levels, but help my students with other subjects as well. It is a true joy for me to see my students understand concepts they didn’t before and succeed in their academics.
Cassidy Kraemer
My favorite subjects to teach are biology and chemistry. What I enjoy most about teaching is helping students find their love for each individual subject. I believe every student is more capable than they think and just need a bit of a nudge to build up the confidence in their own intelligence. I have a lot of experience teaching whether that be my years as a preschool teacher, individual tutoring, or working as a teaching assistant, I have loved every single opportunity I have had to work with students and help them find a love for learning!

With 8 years of tutoring experience spanning grade school through college, my passions lie in the fields of mathematics and education. I’m currently working toward my M.S. in Mathematics at UW-Milwaukee, focusing on topology and mathematical education. I come from a teaching background, having instructed everything from high school algebra and geometry through undergraduate-level mathematics courses. My goal is to help grow the next generation of perseverant thinkers and problem solvers. Along the way, I’ve worked with students of all skill levels and learning styles, from those excelling and looking to be challenged to those needing extra support to build confidence. When I’m outside of the classroom, you’ll find me on adventures with my family and our dog, coaching soccer, and watching football.

Dan Lindberg
Dan is a business economist who uses the tools of econometrics, statistics, and machine learning to evaluate housing markets. In 2021, he founded Applied Economic Insight LLC. His insights have been featured in Homes.com, Seniors Housing Business, McKnights, Senior Housing News, and he has published peer-reviewed research in Discover Artificial Intelligence and Business Economics. He served as the Director of the Applied AI Lab at Waukesha County Technical College, teaching predictive analytics, computer vision, and running corporate training workshops in AI. Dan also taught business analytics and microeconomics at Marquette University for four years. In 2022, Dan won the Contributed Paper Award with the National Association for Business Economics.
